A message to our Formula team members and their families, First and foremost, we’d like to say thank you. Thank you for your continued efforts to carry on through this time of confusion and uncertainty. Formula Contractors, Ltd. has been fortunate to have experienced very little COVID-19-related interruption to our business, either in the field or in the office. Ours is essential work, necessary to keep these critical projects moving forward. We want to stress that the safety of our employees and their families is our primary concern.

As this story unfolds and we adjust to the new ways of working, learning, interacting, and living, Formula will continue to implement the recommended policies and procedures to perform our work safely and efficiently. We want everyone on our job sites to be able to go home to their families at the end of the day.

The leadership team has taken all precautions to protect our employees, our clients, and the communities where we work: limiting site visitors, managing turnarounds, moving administration off-site, and requiring self-isolation of any staff who have recently traveled or are symptomatic. Collaboratively, these efforts have helped us to keep all personnel in our employ.

We are committed to supporting our Formula families. Please continue to reach out to our management team for advice, encouragement, and any other assistance we may be able to provide. You can also refer to the updates on our homepage for detailed information about recommended COVID-19 measures.

Formula will continue to work with our clients to forge ahead. Your perseverance and dedication to the job, your families, our company, and our clients is something to be celebrated. We are grateful to you all.

We are so proud to have you with us through this unusual moment in time. Thank you, again.

Paul Tiefensee, and the Formula Contractors management team

In 1977, Peter Thwaites started Formula Contractors with a goal of providing clients with excellent service, exceptional quality, and cost-effective infrastructure construction solutions. We are still motivated by the same objectives, and are proud to consistently achieve them on every project we undertake.

Our company has grown from a small group of talented bridge-builders into a leader in the construction, engineering, contracted services, and heavy equipment industries. We work with clients in oil and gas, mining, forestry, utilities, renewable energy, and government. Across every sector, the Formula team brings experience and professionalism to the job.

In 2019, Formula amalgamated with Forbes Industrial Contractors, Ltd. (FIC). Started in 1996 by Andrew Forbes, FIC has provided outstanding workmanship to transportation, resource, and power generation organizations throughout BC. Under the corporate guidance of Formula Contractors, Ltd. majority owner, Brian Fehr, this consolidation has positioned us to become an even more dynamic force in the heavy construction industry across Canada, and beyond.

We’re proud of our team’s comprehensive experience and our ability to provide our clients with engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM), end product specification, and turn-key deliverables. From the simplest project to the most complex, we consistently deliver long-term, reliable results.

We are committed to maintaining strong and healthy relationships with the Indigenous Peoples on whose traditional lands we often work. As such, Formula has developed solid partnerships with several First Nations. Together, we pursue long-term, sustainable engineering solutions that respect the surrounding culture and environment.

Since the 1970’s much has changed in our industry. Formula stays at the forefront with modern engineering and construction techniques that minimally impact the surrounding area, and will be safe, strong, and sound well into the future.

With the highest standards of service, quality, and safety, Formula Contractors continues to create innovative and efficient solutions for our clients, from concept to completion.
